Google Workspace price increase 2025: what went up and when
Yes. Google raised Workspace Business prices on January 16, 2025 for new customers and folded Gemini AI into the plans. Existing customers moved to the new prices from March 17, 2025, or at renewal for annual plans. Business Standard went from $12 to $14 per user per month on an annual plan. Our read of the pricing page on October 23, 2026 shows the same new prices: $7, $14 and $22.

This page covers Business plans in USD. The table shows Annual/Fixed-Term plan prices per user per month. On Flexible (month to month) plans, 9to5Google lists Starter $7.20 to $8.40, Standard $14.40 to $16.80 and Plus $21.60 to $26.40. Our read covers the annual prices. Google said a team on Business Standard with the Gemini Business add-on paid $32 per user a month before, and pays $14 after.

The first two quotes come from Google's own blog post of January 15, 2025. The price table and the third quote come from 9to5Google's report of the same day, which prints the old and new USD prices for each plan. We read and saved both pages on October 23, 2026.
Who it hits and when
- New customers paid the new prices from January 16, 2025.
- Existing Flexible plans moved to the new prices from March 17, 2025.
- Existing Annual/Fixed-Term plans moved at the later of March 17, 2025 or the renewal date.
- Google set a later date, July 7, 2025, for what it calls "very small business customers", per its April 28, 2025 update to the post.
- The new prices include Gemini AI features, so a separate Gemini Business add-on is not part of the bill.

The page lists the annual plan prices per user per month. It shows a promo for new customers of 50% off for 3 months. The prices in the table are the list prices after the promo. Our read does not show the Flexible plan prices, so those come from 9to5Google.

Questions
Did Google Workspace raise prices in 2025?
Yes. On annual plans, Business Starter went from $6 to $7, Business Standard from $12 to $14 and Business Plus from $18 to $22 per user per month. New customers paid the new prices from January 16, 2025.
When did existing Google Workspace customers pay more?
Flexible plans moved from March 17, 2025. Annual/Fixed-Term plans moved at the later of March 17, 2025 or the renewal date. Google set July 7, 2025 for what it calls "very small business customers".
Why did Google Workspace go up?
Google added Gemini AI to the Business plans and raised the base price. Google said a Business Standard team that paid $32 per user a month with the Gemini Business add-on now pays $14.
What does the increase cost 10 users on Business Standard?
By our math, 10 users on an annual plan went from $120 to $140 a month. That is $20 more a month, or $240 more a year.
What does Google Workspace cost in 2026?
Our read on October 23, 2026 shows Business Starter at $7, Business Standard at $14 and Business Plus at $22 per user per month on an annual plan. These match the 2025 prices.
