Privacy policy

SaaS Price Watch tracks public SaaS pricing pages. Nichols Ventures in Missouri, USA, runs it.

What we collect

No cookies. No ads or trackers. No accounts. We do not sell or share personal data.

Analytics

We run our own simple counter. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics script. When a page loads, your browser sends the page path and the host name of the site that linked you, such as google.com. We do not get the full link. When you click a buy button or finish a form or check, your browser sends the action name. We store daily totals: views per page, visits per referring site, and counts per action. We do not store your IP address, a cookie, or any ID. Visits from known bots are dropped. To drop repeat actions, a one-way hash of your IP address, the action, and the date sits in the Cloudflare cache for 10 minutes. It is never stored with the totals.

Most of this site is static pages and JSON files. The one exception is paid price alerts.

Price alerts

If you buy alerts, Lemon Squeezy runs checkout and billing as the merchant of record. It collects your name, email, billing address, and card details under its own policy, and it may set its own cookies in checkout. We never see your card number. Lemon Squeezy tells us about order and subscription status, such as renewals, failed payments, and cancellations, so we know whether to send alerts.

When you set up alerts, we store your alert email, the vendors you picked, a one-way hash of your license key, the license activation id, your order or customer id from the payment provider, your consent time, and an unsubscribe token. We check your key with Lemon Squeezy. We count setup attempts per IP address for one to two hours to stop abuse.

We use your email only to send the alerts you asked for. Each email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails at once. Ask us and we will delete your alert record. Alert emails go out from [email protected] through our email provider.

What we track

We fetch public pricing pages from software vendors each week. Those pages contain prices, not personal data.

Links to vendors

Vendor pages link to vendor sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts this site. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. See the Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not keep our own request logs.

Email list

If you sign up for our email list, we store your email, the page you signed up on, your consent time, and a status (pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed) in Cloudflare storage. We first send one email with a confirmation link. We email you again only after you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once. We count signup attempts per IP address in the Cloudflare cache for up to two hours to stop abuse, and we do not store the IP address. We send email from [email protected]. We do not sell or share the list.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not collect their data on purpose.
