Bitwarden price increase 2026: what went up and when

Yes. Bitwarden raised its personal plans on January 21, 2026. Premium went from $10 to $19.80 a year and Families went from $40 to $47.88 a year for up to six users. Current subscribers pay the new price at their next renewal, after a 15-day notice.

This page covers the Premium and Families plans in USD on yearly billing. The Bitwarden post names only these two plans. It does not say whether Teams or Enterprise prices changed, so we make no claim about them. The free plan stays.

Bitwarden's post of January 21, 2026 gives the new prices but not the old ones. The old prices come from an archive copy of the Bitwarden pricing page dated January 10, 2026, which we saved. We read and saved every page on October 25, 2026.

Who it hits and when

• Current Premium and Families subscribers pay the new price at their next renewal, after a 15-day notice from Bitwarden.
• Existing Premium subscribers get a one-time 25% discount on the first renewal at the new price. By our math that is $14.85 for the year, then $19.80 after that.
• Bitwarden says a few early Families 2019 customers also get the 25% discount. By our math that is $35.91 for the year.
• Premium went up $9.80 a year, about 98%. Families went up $7.88 a year, about 20%.
• The free plan stays, per the Bitwarden post.
