Notion pricing per user
Notion charges a fee per member on its paid plans. Guests are free. The price per member depends on the plan and on how you pay: yearly billing costs less per month than monthly billing.
This guide shows the per-member prices from Notion's pricing page on October 23, 2026, who counts as a paid seat, and what teams of 5 to 50 pay. Live data is on the Notion pricing page on SaaS Price Watch.
Notion price per user, by plan
Prices are per member, per month, in USD.

The page shows the yearly price by default and says "Save up to 20% with yearly." On a yearly plan, Plus comes to $120 per member for the year and Business to $240.
What each plan adds
- Free: for individuals. Pages and blocks are unlimited for one person and limited for 2 or more members. File uploads cap at 5 MB each. Up to 10 guests. Notion AI is a trial.
- Plus: for small teams. Unlimited blocks, unlimited file uploads, custom forms and sites, charts, and unlimited guests. Notion AI is a trial.
- Business: adds Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search (beta), SAML SSO, private teamspaces, granular database permissions, and premium connections such as GitHub and Asana.
- Enterprise: adds SCIM, audit log, advanced security controls, zero data retention with LLM providers, and a customer success manager. Pricing is through sales.
Notion lists Custom Agents as free to try. After that, they cost $10 per 1,000 credits. That cost sits on top of the seat price.
Who you pay for
Notion's pricing FAQ sets the rules:
- You pay for members. On a paid plan, Notion charges a fee per member.
- Guests are free. A guest can open the pages they are invited to. They do not see the team pages in the sidebar.
- New members are prorated. A new member takes an open paid seat if you have one. If not, your seat count goes up by 1, with a prorated charge for the time left in the cycle.
- Removed members do not earn credit. The seat stays open for a new member until the cycle ends. At the next cycle, the seat count resets to match your members.
So add clients and contractors as guests when they need a few pages. They do not count toward the bill.
What a team pays on Notion

For a year, 10 members on Plus cost $1,200 on yearly billing and $1,440 on monthly billing. On Business, 10 members cost $2,400 a year on yearly billing and $2,880 on monthly.
Plus or Business?
Business costs $20 per member on yearly billing, against $10 for Plus. The gap pays for AI and control:
- Notion Agent and AI Meeting Notes, which Plus has as a trial
- SAML SSO and domain verification
- Private teamspaces and row-level database permissions
If your team needs shared docs and databases without SSO or the AI tools, Plus covers it. A 7-person team on Plus yearly pays $140 a month, or $168 on monthly billing.
