Jira pricing per user

Jira Cloud charges per user on its paid plans. Free covers up to 10 users. The price per user drops as your team grows, because Atlassian prices seats in bands.

This guide shows Jira's per-user prices on October 23, 2026, how the bands work, and what teams of 10 to 300 pay. Live data is on the Jira pricing page on SaaS Price Watch.

Jira price per user, by plan

Prices are per user, per month, in USD, on monthly billing for teams of up to 100 users.

Plan Price per user per month User limit
Free $0 Up to 10 users
Standard $9.70 Up to 100,000 users per site
Premium $19.60 Up to 100,000 users per site
Enterprise Contact sales, annual billing Multiple sites

These prices took effect on October 13, 2026. Before that, Standard was $9.05 and Premium was $18.30. See the Jira price increase 2026 page for the old and new prices in each band.

How the volume bands work

On monthly billing, Atlassian sets a lower price for each band of users above 100:

Users Standard Premium
1 to 100 $9.70 $19.60
101 to 250 $8.20 $14.65
251 to 1,000 $6.85 $10.20
1,001 to 2,500 $6.20 $9.90
2,501 to 5,000 $5.80 $9.50

The pricing page opens at 300 users and shows $8.48 per user for Standard and $15.56 for Premium. By our math, that is the average when the first 100 users pay $9.70, the next 150 pay $8.20, and the last 50 pay $6.85. A 300-user team on Standard pays $2,542.50 a month. On Premium it pays $4,667.50.

Annual billing

Annual plans list one price for a user tier. The page says annual billing saves up to 17%.

Users Standard per year Premium per year
10 $950 $1,950
25 $2,450 $4,900
50 $4,850 $9,800

What each plan adds

Standard or Premium?

Premium costs $19.60 per user against $9.70 for Standard, for the first 100 users. Above 100 users the gap shrinks. At 251 to 1,000 users, Premium is $10.20 against $6.85.

Pick Premium if you plan work across several teams, need approvals in workflows, or need an uptime SLA. For a single team, Standard covers it.
