Firebase pricing

Firebase has two plans. Spark is the no-cost plan. Blaze is pay as you go. Blaze keeps the no-cost quotas and bills usage past them. Many Blaze rates point to Google Cloud pricing. Figures come from the Firebase pricing page on October 27, 2026. Compare backend tools in dev tools.

Rates that point to Google Cloud

Firestore reads, writes, deletes, storage, and egress past the free quota bill at Google Cloud rates. The page does not list them. The same holds for Authentication past 50K monthly active users, Cloud Functions GB-seconds and CPU-seconds, and newer firebasestorage.app buckets.

SQL Connect includes a 3 month no-cost Cloud SQL trial. After that the page says it starts as low as $9.37 a month, varying by region and setup.

Remote Config change

The page says new Remote Config pricing starts September 1, 2026. Fetches are no-cost up to 100,000 a day per project. Then $0.06 per 10K requests up to 10,000,000 a day, and $0.01 per 10K above that.

Quota notes

The Realtime Database row lists the free download quota as 360 MB a day and says that equals about 10 GB a month. The two Cloud Storage bucket types carry different free quotas: 1 GB a day of downloads for legacy appspot.com buckets and 100 GB a month for newer buckets. No-cost quotas apply per project.

Credits

The page says eligible accounts get $300 in free credit when they upgrade to Blaze.

What we withhold

We do not list Firestore, Authentication, Phone Auth SMS, or Cloud Run unit prices. The Firebase page sends readers to Google Cloud for them, and we did not read those pages.
