Anthropic API pricing
The Claude API bills per million tokens (MTok). Input and output carry different rates. Claude Opus 5.5 costs $4 per MTok in and $20 per MTok out. Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs $2 in and $10 out. The docs say Claude 4.7 and later models use a newer tokenizer that makes about 30% more tokens for the same text.
Batch, fast mode, and US routing
The Batch API takes 50 percent off input and output. Batch Opus 5.5 is $2 in and $10 out. Batch Sonnet 5.5 is $1 in and $5 out. Batch Fable 5.1 is $5 in and $25 out.
Fast mode costs more. Opus 5.5 fast mode is $8 in and $40 out per MTok. Opus 5 and Opus 4.8 fast mode is $10 in and $50 out. Fast mode does not work with the Batch API.
US inference (inference_geo "us") adds a 1.1x multiplier on Claude 4.6 and later models. Regional endpoints on Bedrock and Google Cloud carry a 10 percent premium.

The code execution conflict
The docs say each organization gets 1,550 free hours of code execution per month. The Claude pricing page says 50 free hours of usage daily per organization. We do not resolve it. Both pages list $0.05 per hour per container after that.
Subscription plans are separate
A Claude Pro, Max, or Team plan does not include API tokens at these rates. The Claude pricing page lists $100 to $200 a month in API credits for Max plans. See the Claude Team plan pricing guide for seat prices.
What we withhold
We do not list Bedrock or Google Cloud managed rates. Anthropic points to those providers for them. We do not list text editor or computer use token overheads by model.
