Shopify pricing plans 2026: monthly vs yearly price and cost per year

Shopify has 4 paid plans. Basic: $29/mo billed yearly or $39/mo billed monthly. Grow: $79/mo billed yearly or $105/mo billed monthly. Advanced: $299/mo billed yearly or $399/mo billed monthly. Plus: from $2,300/mo. Shopify is testing higher yearly prices for Grow ($89) and Advanced ($359) with some visitors.

Shopify plans and prices

The compare table on the page lists a "Pay monthly" and a "Pay yearly" price for each plan. The yearly price is shown per month.

How much Shopify costs per year

Per year is the monthly price times 12. Plan fees alone. Card fees, apps, themes and domains are extra. By our math, paying yearly cuts the plan fee by 25% to 26%.

Shopify Grow plan price

Shopify Grow costs $79 a month on yearly billing ($948 a year) or $105 a month on monthly billing ($1,260 a year). Some visitors see a test price of $89 a month on yearly billing ($1,068 a year). In our live reads, 7 of 26 showed it. Online standard card rates: 2.7% + 30¢.

What the page lists for Grow:

Shopify card rates and transaction fees by plan

As listed in the compare table on the US English pricing page. Card rates apply when you use Shopify Payments.

Example: one year on Shopify with $50,000 in online sales

Say you sell $50,000 a year online in 1,000 card orders of $50, pay for the plan yearly, and use Shopify Payments with standard cards. Card fees are the rate from the table times sales, plus the fixed fee per order.

At these numbers Basic costs the least: $2,098 for the year. Higher sales make the plans with lower card rates win sooner. Premium and international cards cost more (see the fee table).

Does Shopify have a free trial?

What does the first year of Shopify Basic cost with the $1 offer?

If the $1 offer applies to your plan and you pay monthly: 3 months at $1 plus 9 months at $39 is $354. Shopify's FAQ says "most plans" get the offer, so check at signup.

Did Shopify raise prices in 2026?
