Railway pricing
Railway has four plans. Free costs $0 a month. It starts with a 30-day trial with $5 credits, then gives $1 per month. Hobby has a $5 minimum and includes $5 of usage. Pro has a $20 minimum and includes $20 of usage. Enterprise is custom. Past the included usage, you pay for the RAM, CPU, storage, and egress you use. Figures come from the Railway pricing page and docs on October 26, 2026. Live plan data is on the Railway pricing page on SaaS Price Watch.
Railway plans at a glance
| Plan | Price | Usage included | Per service limit | Replicas per service |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 a month | 30-day trial with $5 credits, then $1 per month | 1 vCPU / 0.5 GB RAM | 2 during the trial, then 1 |
| Hobby | $5 minimum usage | $5 a month | 48 vCPU / 48 GB RAM | 5 or 6 (see below) |
| Pro | $20 minimum usage | $20 a month | 1,000 vCPU / 1 TB RAM | 42 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 2,400 vCPU | 50 |
Railway does not agree with itself on Hobby replicas. The Hobby plan card says "Up to 5 replicas". The compare table on the same page and the docs say 6. We list both.
Usage rates
| Resource | Monthly rate (docs) | Per second rate (pricing page) |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | $10 per GB | $0.00000386 per GB |
| CPU | $20 per vCPU | $0.00000772 per vCPU |
| Volume storage | $0.15 per GB | $0.00000006 per GB |
| Network egress | $0.05 per GB | $0.05 per GB |
Object storage costs $0.015 per GB-month. Builds are free. Railway does not charge for build CPU, memory, or image storage. Sandboxes bill at VM rates of $50 per GB of memory and $50 per vCPU a month.
How the minimum works
Each plan fee counts toward usage. The docs give two examples on Hobby. If your usage is $3, your bill is $5. If your usage is $7, your bill is $7. Included usage resets each billing cycle and does not roll over.
Sample monthly bills
Our math: one service that holds 0.5 GB RAM and uses 0.5 vCPU for a full month costs $15 in usage. On Hobby the bill is $15. On Pro the bill is $20, because usage is below the $20 minimum. Sending 10 GB of egress adds $0.50.
Committed spend
Railway lists features you unlock with committed spend. HIPAA starts at $1,000. RBAC and SSO start at $2,000. Prioritized support with SLOs starts at $5,000. Dedicated VMs start at $10,000.
What we withhold
Real bills depend on how much CPU and RAM your app uses each second. We do not publish an average bill. We do not repeat the customer savings claims on the pricing page.
