Google Text-to-Speech pricing
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech charges per character for its voice models and per token for Gemini TTS. Standard and WaveNet voices cost $4 per million characters. Chirp 3 HD costs $30 and Studio $160. Each character model has a free monthly limit. Figures come from the Google Cloud pricing page on October 27, 2026. We do not track Google Cloud Text-to-Speech on SaaS Price Watch yet.

Google lists WaveNet and Standard under the same SKU (9D01-5995-B545) at the same price. The page does not say if the 4 million free characters are shared between them. We do not resolve this.

Gemini 3.8 Flash and Flash-Lite prices double on January 1, 2027. Gemini TTS has no free limit on this page. Google lists Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS and 2.5 Flash-Lite Preview TTS in one row with one price.
Cost per minute
Google says audio tokens equal 25 tokens per second of audio. Our math: one minute is 1,500 audio tokens. On Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS that is about $0.015 a minute of output, before input tokens.
We withhold a per-minute price for the character-priced voices. Google does not say how many characters make a minute of speech.
